Named after real fireflies

The glow-then-fade you paint with here borrows from actual fireflies — and there are fewer of them every year. Artificial light drowns out the tiny flashes they use to find each other, so fewer meet, and fewer are born. Whole meadows that once blinked at dusk now stay dark.

Keep a dark corner in your garden. A few living pixels might light it up. The wandering sparks above are our small tribute.
